Pop Up Shops in Event Tents

Pop up shops in event tents, it’s all the rage!

Temporary retail, pop-up stores, pop-up shops or experiential marketing; whether retailers are launching a new product, sponsoring an event or reaching out to new audiences. Pop up shops are taking over the way people market a brand, retailers are changing; moving from traditional bricks and mortar to pop up shops, enabling them to get right to their target markets at the right time and in the right places.

What is a pop up shop?

Pop up shops and pop up retail are temporary retail spaces can be in situ typically from 1 day to 3 months. They market and sell merchandise or services of any type, from fashion, food and technology to insurance or luxury brands. Pop up shops are very successful as they create a ‘buzz’ they offer a new exciting  way to market a product, they can be interactive, creative and extremely engaging, not to mention the social media hype that can be created in conjunction with them.

Pop up shops in event tents

We are seeing an increasing demand for pop up shops in our event tents, our most popular product for this application seems to be our Energy range and in particular our Cyclones. The units are 5m x 5m x 2.7m and can be joined in any configuration to create the desired size in 5m modules. ‘The glass box’ look of the cyclone draws in a crowd from all angles and thanks to our clever exteriors we can create a blank canvas for any retailer to add their branding. Cyclones can pop up just about anywhere!

Where do retailers install pop up shops?

Usually high footfall areas such as city centres, stations, shopping centres, festivals. Locations are determined by events that are taking place such as the Common Wealth Games, or the Olympics. We built several pop up shops for Samsung around London train Stations during the 2012 Olympics. More recently we have built a pop up fashion cupboard for Elle Magazine for our client Blonstein at the Love Box Festival this weekend in London.

What are the benefits of pop up shops in event tents?

  • Price: is a huge influencing factor, they are cheaper to run than a traditional shop and usually paid for upfront, allowing a much quicker way to assess return on investment. Pop up shops  are 80% cheaper than a traditional shops.
  • Engage: with customers, allows you to personally get to know your customers and build stronger relationships.
  • Reach more & Sell more: Reach more people and sell more goods. Offline purchases are still very popular as many as 85% of shoppers still prefer to see things before they buy.
  • Awareness: Consumers and the media love the buzz generated around popup shops and its a social media gold mine!
  • Test the water: Find new markets and launch new products easier
  • Any size any where: Modular and re-relocatable put your pop up shop anywhere with no restrictions to sizes or locations.
  • Blank Canvas: event tents provide a blank canvas leaving you free to be as creative as you wish, we can even do this bit for you if you like!

Tailored temporary event structures

BMW stand at GFOS in tailored temporary event structures

We are often asked for tailored temporary event structures to meet a clients brief, the events industry is so diverse and creative that we always want to accommodate a clients wishes.

We are currently installing our double decker event tent Palas at Goodwood. Palas like all temporary event structures has a leg in the centre of each gable end. Our client wanted to make a feature out of the gable end with a set back balcony, they requested to have the space free of any supporting legs/columns that may obscure the view.

With the technical assistance of our in house structural engineers we designed a bespoke portal beam to replace the gable leg. As a result we were able to create the open gable without the centre leg as requested. This is just one example of our excellent service, great design, efficient manufacturing  and our can do attitude!

Luxury Hospitality Marquee, all about finishing touches

Its all about the finishing touches.

Its a lovely day on site and we are putting the finishing touches to the outside of the Hill Pavilion at Goodwood. Hill Pavilion is a luxury hospitality marquee named in honour of American World Champion Phil Hill, this event tent is situated on the outside of the track at the first corner after the start-line.

The luxury hospitality marquee is raised on a scaffold base to give spectators a perfect view of the races as they come into the first corner. We clad the scaffold which is then hand paint finished to give the outside of the structure a neat and sleek appearance. We continue the theme to create an entrance ramp with matching handrails. We are renowned for our finishing touches and attention to detail, we ensure the exterior of the finished product compliments the luxury contemporary interiors that we install inside the structure.

Our attention to detail really is quite remarkable. As you can see Fay is quite often down on her hands and knees perfecting the tiniest of details! Go Fay!

Bespoke Marquees

Bespoke Marquees – Charlton Pavilion for TT Tents.

We are often asked to provide structures in unusual places or at difficult sites. The Losberger team are great problem solvers, we like a challenge and we love designing things. When a standard product is not suitable for a particular project we will come up with a solution.

A perfect example of this is the ‘Charlton Pavilion’ this luxury hospitality structure is a semi – permanent venue built for the Goodwoood Racecourse, the structure is situated on top of a building overlooking the track. The existing roof area, although flat is not straight. We were approached by our client TT Tents, who have an extensive range of premium Losberger equipment to design bespoke marquees for their client. The marquee needed to follow the shape of the roof, with the help of our own structural engineering department special angled sections were manufactured at our factory in Germany.

In addition we designed a roof overhang, creating a covered terrace both sides of the  marquee.  We achieved this by using 10m standard roof beams with 10m roof covers, whilst only enclosing 7.5m of the structures. The Charlton Pavilion is secured with a bespoke custom designed floor system incorporating concrete elements providing the kentledge required to anchor the structure. All designed and manufactures in accordance with BS EN 13782 with an independent structural engineers certificate confirming compliance.

Charlton Pavilion Floor Plan Bespoke_Marquees_pdf

This isn’t the first structure we have built on a roof top, a few years back we completed a similar project for SJ Berwin LLP a multinational law firm who’s headquartered are based in London. The structure is used for staff events and provides a covered area on their roof terrace with spectacular views across London and the Thames.

Double Decker Tents with branding facade; Palas

Today we are craning our Palas double decker tent into position ready for a big car manufacturer at Goodwood. Notice the vertical exterior structs around the perimeter of the roof frame? These structs will hold into position an exterior roof facade that will allow us to add the clients branding to all four sides of the event structure. Horizontal glass panels will give the Palas a very modern look and improve the view for people inside the structure.

Double Decker Tents

We have several styles of double decker tents available for hire or purchase, temporary of semi-permanent. We can offer a large variety of floor plans and roof designs on a 6.8 or 8m eave. We can add complete second floor levels, viewing galleries, platforms, set back gables; the options are endless.

Hospitality Tents

Hospitality Tents; Hill Pavilion

The Hill Pavilion is taking shape at Goodwood ready for the festival of speed. Losberger build The Hill Pavilion along with several other hospitality tents at Goodwood all of which are raised and anchored to a scaffold base, this gives optimum views of the race track from the 3m annex balcony built onto the long side of the 11m uniflex.

Named in honour of American World Champion Phil Hill, this hospitality pavilion is on the outside of the track situated just after the first corner. Here the cars head towards the hospitality tents before braking hard and turning into the corner right in front of the Losberger annex balcony, making this a great place to watch the races.

These hospitality tents offer superb entertainment and surroundings,  guests can choose from private dining chalets or tables of 10 in a shared pavilion.  Each chalets is decadently decorated with Losberger event interiors, the interiors are cleverly designed to allow for service and catering staff to move effortlessly between kitchens and chalets through hidden service corridors.
