The Rising Popularity of Modular Building
Modular building is booming and its uses vary considerably from events and temporary applications to high-rise apartments, student accommodation, industry, hotels, hospitals, offices and retail. Modular construction used to be conceived as the ugly duckling of construction however today over 98% of contractors, architects and of engineers use pre fab modular construction methods!
Why choose modular Building?
lead times – Unlike conventional buildings modular construction foundations and the buildings can be done at the same time, along with the pre-fabrication done in the factory modular building is on average 30% quicker to install.
Time lapse modular event construction
Time Lapse Industrial Modular Building
Time Lapse Retail Modular Building
Return on investment – The quicker you’re up and running the sooner your business is making money. The construction and logistics cost are also considerably lower, reducing your initial outlay.
Increased cost savings – Modular building can cut costs by 20-30%. A shorter build time saves money on overall construction. Labour costs are less, as prefab construction uses more factory workers and less skilled tradesmen like plumbers and electricians.
Green – Modular building is energy efficient, improved thermal values, materials and layouts means that these buildings cost less to run and are future friendly. Most materials are produced in the factory meaning fewer vehicles on site reducing air and noise pollution. Off-site modular manufacturing also reduces waste plus prefab construction materials are easier to recycle.
